Old Blog Post Reviews

I thought I would do a review on some of my older posts.

These posts date back to 2017, 2018 and more recently, 2019! Enjoy!

My starting review is going to be my very first post ever 'Handmade Heaven' | May 1st 2017.

This post consisted of some birthday and thank you cards that I had made before. I remember that I was very proud of this post because I thought how the images slid over was really cool and it was my first post. Looking back, my cutting straight line skills weren't the best and the backgrounds of the photos weren't really nice, but I was super proud of this post and still am!

Second review: Craft pinboard | August 16th 2017

After I had gotten used to using the website, I decided to start making different styles of posts, not just regular pictures of cards. I used Adobe Spark to create the colourful collage and added images of crafts that I really liked. I remember taking forever arranging the images so they were just as I wanted.

I made sure that I put all the links to the images in the description below but didn't realise I could still get copyrighted for using them!

The aesthetics of this post still delight me and I do actually want to make some of the items arranged in the board!

Third review: Origami Love Heart Tutorial | August 8th 2018

After the success of my first video ever posted (which was the inspiration for this blog), I decided to make another tutorial video about origami hearts! I used Handstand Girl (my friend) to actually make the heart while I filmed. It was really fun to edit and I think the time lapse at the beginning looked really cool. The tutorial was easy to follow (I hope it was) but also looked really creative with the books and paper on the side.

Fourth and final review: Fancy Flat Lay | April 17th 2019

This was one of my most recent posts and I can proudly say that I am very happy with how it turned out. The inspiration for this post was from Pinterest (follow me: @Nik Nak Box) as I had been seeing a lot of pictures taken from above (also called flay lay) and thought I would see what all the fuss was about!

This was one of my first photography posts and I did really enjoy the process of setting up the camera, finding a suitable background, positioning the objects and finally taking the photo. I tried to create different colour schemes for each photo, including rose gold and pink.

Here is my review for my old blog posts and looking and reflecting back on all these posts, I can see how far how I have come from my first post and how much I have enjoyed the whole process and experience!
