Classic cactus card
I made this birthday card for a friend and it turned out really well. First, I drew the cactus on paper in pencil. I coloured it in and then used a black pen to outline the shape so it stood out.
I then cut the cactus out. I chose a pretty pattern for the card and glued that on. Instead of having the cactus in the middle on its own, I thought that it would look much better if it was over the pattern a bit.
The last step of this card was to write 'Happy Birthday'. Now this proved more challenging than I thought. I had not written in this style of writing before so it was a little hard. The word 'birthday' didn't fit on one line as you can see so I had to split it up.
In the end, this card worked out as a success and I am really happy with it.
