Get Inspired by Nature

Even though using man-made objects and tools like glue, paper and scissors can help us create many beautiful things, nature can also inspire us to design lovely things. Here are some photos I took while away at the beach to help you think of different ways to create art or crafts.

This leaf has quite a story to tell. My sister found it on the beach and we were so surprised that it was such a perfect heart shape. Isn't it amazing what nature throws up at us!

This native Australian seed cone has such a cool exterior and is very textural.

I like how the rocks form flat shapes out towards the ocean and that the sunset is highlighting the rocks and the headland in the distance.

This picture shows the contrasting colours with the bright and vibrant leaf and the more duller sand. We can use this in our craft or art to create a focus point for the viewer to be drawn into.
